Bernadette Hyland

CEO

Bernadette is responsible for revenue-generation activities including customer success and retention, operations & marketing. She has over 20 years of experience in large scale information management strategy and implementation. Her technology background includes leadership roles at financial services firms in New York and Tokyo, including Goldman Sachs and Morgan Stanley, and prior to founding 3 Round Stones, as CEO of Zepheira, an innovative Web services firm.

Bernadette was co-founder and CEO of high-growth, profitable software organizations in Australia and the US. After securing a Series A venture round in 2003, she assisted the successful acquisition of Tucana Technologies by Northrop Grumman (2005).

Bernadette’s management experience gives her insight into the strategic challenges facing organizations who need to combine enterprise data with open data on the Web. She is expert in international Web data standards (W3C). She is author of over a dozen publications on best practices for publishing complex data on the Web. Bernadette holds a bachelor’s degree in computer sciences and linguistics from the University of California, Los Angeles.

An avid proponent of STEM education starting at the middle school level, Bernadette volunteers as a mentor and sponsor of a local high school robotics team. She is the mother of two teenagers and is a student of Aikido, a non-violent Japanese martial art.
